Characteristics of Silicon Hollow Fiber Membrane

NAGASEP Hollow Fiber Membrane

NAGASEP is a module comprising silicone hollow membrane fibers bundled within a housing (PVC/stainless steel/optional). Silicone is the best material to permeate gases among polymers and has features such as heat resistance, chemical resistance, and inertness, and more.

Mechanism of Gas Separation

NAGASEP is hydrophobic and has excellent selective permeability for organic substances.

Resistant to organic solvents; physiologically inactive.

The physical properties remain the same at temperature from -60 ° C to over 150 ° C. Also, it has electrical insulation and is highly resistant to ultraviolet rays.

This silicone hollow fiber membrane has high temperature resistance up to 200°C and autoclavable.

Nagasep has excellent permeability of VOC (volatile organic solvent) as well as gas molecules, so the target component can be separated and recovered from the atmosphere or water. The standard size of the hollow fiber membrane and the permeability of various gases are displayed below.

Silicone is unaffected by UV(ultraviolet)-rays and ozone. NAGAYANAGI’s silicone hollow fiber membrane won’t clog, because it is non-porus.

The minimum thickness of our Silicone hollow fiber membrane is 0.02mm. NAGASEP is the thinnest among silicone hollow fiber membrane. Your device can be made compact.

NAGAYANAGI’s silicone hollow fiber membrane has excellent flexibility.

=> You can weave it like cloth.

NAGAYANAGI can be designed according to your needs.
