Decarbonating

When performing chemical analysis of carbonated beverages like beer, it is necessary to degas the carbon dioxide gas in the beverage into the atmosphere as a pretreatment. Previously, this was done by passing the beverage through a filter to separate the foam and liquid, followed by ultrasonic treatment to remove tiny bubbles. However, this method took a significant amount of time for the bubbles to completely disappear, and there was an issue with components remaining in the foam, leading to errors in component quantification.

Using NAGASEP module, it is possible to efficiently and rapidly degas the carbon dioxide gas in carbonated beverages without temperature changes, and this process does not affect the accuracy of quantifying the components in the beverage.
